Presentation Overview

Lendlease started their journey into prefabricated engineered timber structures in 2012 with the completion of a 10 storey residential building in Victoria Harbour, Melbourne. Since then, Lendlease have invested in local design and manufacturing capabilities based on the increasing demand for improved safety, productivity, quality and sustainability. The 25 King Street project represents the latest engineered timber structure to be designed and manufactured by Lendlease’s inhouse manufacturing business, DesignMake. This 10 storey timber office building will be one of the world’s largest with over 6,000 cubic meters of CLT and glulam. The engineered timber structure and facade were installed over a 6 month period with less resources, waste and disturbance to the surrounding community. The building is targeting a 6 Star Green Stare Design and will be completed in late 2018.
