The experts who produced the Modular Construction Code will speak on why it was needed and how it was developed, along with insights into its design and construction elements. In addition, all conference delegates will receive a digital copy of the final Code handbook – the first time it will be released.
Site Vist Program
Dynamic Steel Frame - Factory Visit
Dynamic Steel Frame designs and manufactures light gauge steel wall framing for roof trusses; floor cassettes for multi-residential, education and commercial projects; facades and a range of other applications. They also recently commenced manufacturing bathroom pods.
Impresa House - Factory Visit
Utilising world leading technologies and automation equipment, Impresa House produces precision manufactured panelised wall frames, both open and closed; floor cassettes and roof elements at its state of the art manufacturing facility based in Derrimut, Victoria.
Oakleigh South Childcare Centre: Australia’s first childcare CLT project
Oakleigh South Childcare Centre is Australia’s first cross-laminated timber (CLT) childcare centre. Constructed using approximately 260 XLam CLT panels (delivered in 10 x 40’ containers), it was installed in a little over ten days with an average team of four excluding crane crew. This is a Hume Property project, with the Atelier Projects as the main contractor. Works are still underway with completion expected later in the year.
Tullamore: Mirvac’s three-level panelised townhouses project
These townhouses are part of Mirvac’s 800 lot Tullamore estate project in Doncaster. The floor and wall panels are supplied by FutureFit’s panelised building system. Floor cassettes for this project are typically around six metres by 2.4 metres in size, and the panelised walls are up to three metres high and six metres long. This is a live site, with a bank of five townhouses currently being installed.
