International Responses to COVID 19 Within the Construction Sector - Singapore [ONLINE]

COVID-19 first appeared in Singapore around late January 2020. “Circuit Breaker” measures were introduced on the 6th of April. These measures were lifted on the 2nd of June. With a 3 phased approach, the sector is not expected to return to post COVID levels until late 2020.

The Building Construction Authority have issued significant guidance on how construction projects will operate in the “new normal”. This presentation will outline the construction sectors response to these guidelines and provide insight into their practical implementation.

Meet the Speaker: Gary Caulfield is Project Director for Steeltech Ind Pty Ltd, part of the Tiong Seng Group in Singapore. A leader within Asia in 3D concrete printing, robotic welding, robotics, PPVC construction, precast technology and light gauge steel, they are now pursuing Mass Timber Projects. Gary is establishing the new timber business unit, whilst co-ordinating the NTU ABS Project, the worlds largest timber project. As an early member and Chairman, Gary is now a Life Member of PrefabNZ.
