It has been suggested that COVID could be construction’s Uber moment. We need innovation in an industry that has long been conservative and risk averse. Construction is known to be slow to adopt new technologies, however prefab has been doing it for years.

prefabAUS is proud to reveal an exciting line up of presenters for our 2020 Virtual Industry Summit. Prefab is the future of construction in this country, join us to hear from some key professionals in the industry that can explain the immense value this form of construction can bring to your business. This is an entirely virtual event focusing on knowledge sharing, initiatives, industry insights and finishes with an informal networking session. It will feature keynote speakers, breakout sessions and an advocacy roundtable discussion. There will be activities both visual and video, including attendee participation and a LIVE stream from Canada.

Banking Offsite Construction – Where’s the funding?

Restricted access to bank funding is a recognised roadblock to increased mainstream take up of offsite construction. This is not unsurprising given that the lending regime was developed for traditional construction.

Moderated by Warren McGregor (past prefabAUS CEO), this virtual Roundtable session seeks input from industry players to advance this discussion around:

  • The Problem – how prevalent is it and how might we quantify it?

  • Solutions – have any workable solutions been devised? Ideas for new solutions.

  • Who needs to be involved in breaking down the roadblock?

  • Representative Experiences/Case Studies

To maximise the value of the Roundtable, submission of comments, suggestions and other input ahead of the session is encouraged. Please forward to damien.crough@prefabaus.org.au.
