Das Studio is a multi-disciplinary Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture practice with studios in Adelaide and Darwin.
Led by Managing Director Dino Vrynios and Creative Director Sara Horstmann, Das Studio since inception have demonstrated a strong commitment to the development of industry leading expertise in Modular Construction and Designed for Manufactured Assembly (DfMA) methodologies.
The idea of smarter construction and project delivery lies at the heart of our practice’s being and is embedded through all we do. Through a blend of Modularisation, Prefabrication, Panelisation, Kit of Parts, and Mass Engineered Timber (MET) methodologies we have delivered dozens of projects ranging from $250,000 to $50m that utilise this spectrum of construction systems.
To enable the seamless execution of these ‘Smart Construction’ approaches we have established industry leading BIM documentation systems and work closely with our trusted contractors early in the design process to design with a methodology which best suits the building typology, location, and scope.
Das Studio were integral in the delivery of the SA Department for Education’s Pilot Modular Schools Program working alongside all contractors that have entered this space to date. In addition to the $200m Program, we have also developed game-changing health infrastructure for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Purple House and Yadu Health across regional and remote sites around Australia, domestic violence housing in NSW and, are currently delivering the first mass timber education facility for the SA Government and Flinders University, the $53m Tonsley Technical College and Flinders Factory of The Future.
