‘This is a race’: Qld goes it alone to open 500-bed quarantine hub this year

The Queensland government will move ahead with a regional Howard Spring-style quarantine hub near Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, after negotiations with the federal government stalled. The Wellcamp announcement comes one day after the Premier paused arrivals from interstate hotspots NSW, Victoria and the ACT for two weeks as hotel quarantine became “stretched to the limit”.

The power of the Digital Twins to shake off our emissions in real estate
When the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its Code Red report a few weeks ago the message finally started to seep through that we needed to harness all available skills, resources and technologies to turn the tide. A paper released by EY on Digital Twin earlier this year carried some engaging possibilities to get there.  EY’s white paper Digital Twin: The Age of Aquarius in construction and real estate released in May offered some positive prospects for slashing carbon emissions in the built environment – by up to 50 per cent in fact. https://thefifthestate.com.au/innovation/engineering/the-power-of-the-digital-twins-to-shake-off-our-emissions-in-real-estate/
