Peter Morrison. CEO and Executive Director, GTT
Pete is a dedicated specialist in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), committed to driving transformative change in a sector lagging behind in productivity compared to others. He possesses extensive expertise in offsite construction and is adept at identifying the necessary changes to promote swift adoption, thereby minimizing waste and environmental impacts.
As CEO at Green Timber Technology (GTT), a leading MMC Kit of Parts Integrator and Manufacturer specializing in highly complete panelized systems, Pete leverages his unparalleled knowledge of this niche industry to actively contribute to its growth and innovative delivery methods.
GTT has been on a strategic and progressive journey, with steady steps into full scale production. Pete’s belief is that the change is coming but cannot be rushed and is of the opinion that GTT’s steady approach to change and MMC will lead to market confidence and adoption. GTT is now based in Orange, NSW with a capacity of 800 homes per year through a highly automated Weinmann CNC line with over 150 linear meters of wall storage for projects.
In his previous role as Program Director for Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) with the NSW Government, Pete was instrumental in developing standardized approaches for MMC projects and establishing the NSW MMC Pre-Qualification Scheme. This initiative was crucial in stimulating the emerging market, enhancing project quality, speed, cost-efficiency, and overall success.
